Justice Is Blind: 2000 Students Protest in Belgrade

 

 

About 2.000 students of the Belgrade Faculty of Political Sciences and the Faculty of Law organized a walk today under the banner of “Storm – the crime that still goes on”, with which they expressed their disagreement with the acquittal of the Croatian generals Ante Gotovina and Mladen Markac by the tribunal in Hague . Carrying Serbian flags, banners “Vostani Serbie”, “Justice is blind” and “Ethnic cleansing without penalty”, the students walked from the buildings of the two faculties to the Temple of Saint Sava, where a commemoration service was held for the victims of operations “Storm” and “Flash”. The verdict of the court in Hague showed that the ICTY court is really meant only for the Serbs. In two weeks an even bigger peaceful protest walk will be organized and will involve the students of all Universities in Serbia.

Око 2 000 студената београдског Факултета политичких наука (ФПН) и Правног факултета организовали су данас шетњу под паролом “Олуја – злочин који траје”, којом су изразили неслагање са ослобађајућом пресудом Хашког суда хрватским генералима Анти Готовини и Младену Маркачу. Носећи заставе Србије, транспаренте “Востани Сербие”, “Етничко чишћење без казне”, студенти су прошетали од зграда та два факултета до Храма Светог Саве, где је служен помен жртвама, а академци су током молитве упалили свеће за страдале у операцијама “Олуја” и “Бљесак”. Пресуда суда у Хагу показала је да је Хашки суд заиста суд само за Србе. За две недеље биће организована још масовнија мирна, протестна шетња у коју ће бити укључени студенти свих универзитета у Србији.
